Immersion in Sweden’s Innovation Ecosystem
From October 8th to 22nd, 2024, a group of visionary young minds embarked on an extraordinary journey that transformed their professional and personal perspectives. Organized by Swennova, this immersive program offered participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore Sweden—ranked as the world’s second most innovative country by the Global Innovation Index.
This adventure was more than just an educational trip; it was a gateway to the future of global innovation.
Why Sweden Stands Out in Innovation https://www.wipo.int/publications/es/details.jsp?id=4758&plang=ES
Sweden allocates 3.5% of its GDP to research and development, positioning itself as a leader in sustainable technologies, renewable energy, and green transportation. Its innovation ecosystem is powered by over 500 incubators and groundbreaking startups.
Furthermore, more than 90% of Sweden’s graduate programs are taught in English, making them accessible to international students. Sweden also champions gender equity in STEM fields, setting a global standard for inclusion and diversity.
This makes Sweden a top destination for those seeking to expand their academic and professional horizons.

Jönköping University: The visit included a tour of its facilities and a workshop at the Science Park, a hub for entrepreneurs and startups.
